The Nordic Union, formerly known as the Nordic Council, is a geopolitical and inter-parliamentary organisation whose purpose involves achieving a greater amount of co-operation between the Nordic countries. The Nordic Council was established in 1949, several years before the Euclean Community. In 1952, the Nordic Council of Ministers, an intergovernmental forum, was established to complement the Council. Finally, the Nordic Union was established in 1956.
The Nordic Union has led to greater ties within the Nordic countries and the observer of this organisation. The Nordic Union has received positive criticism as being an organisation which has advanced toleration and mutual understanding across the Nordic Countries, particularly with the quarrelsome relationship between Sveltlana and Raglan.
The Nörrdaler is a currency devised to create a common economic zone in the Nordic Union, and has been adopted by the Nine Republics, Raglan, and other members to be added later.
