Border-17 is a large border crossing between France and the Federation of Russian People. It is also rated the most dangerous place in the FRP. Many deaths are reported daily, citizen and soldier, either in the small prison that the checkpoint holds or simply being shot. The two sides of the border have small towns on each side of the crossing, however, both of them are under Millitisya control.
The French and Russian governments agreed that Russian forces may control and patrol the borders between the two nations. The Millitisya patrol near the entrance and exit of the crossing, the CFRPSS's Armed Operatives patrol areas that have no crossings, and currently the 164th Border Control Unit operate the Border-17 checkpoint.
