The Monarchy of Hesperia, is the constitutional monarchy and head of state of Hesperia, and whose incumbent is currently Jacques II, King of Hesperia, and became so after ascending to the throne in 1960, following the death of his father Louis X, who reigned from 1910 till his death.

After Conrad established a constitutional monarchy in 1841, he became the head of state, making the head government ruled upon by the Prime Minister.

Ceremonial Role

The role of the King includes maintaining order within the Privy Council and by mediating tensions by executing a strong will while governing. The King cannot suspend Parliament after Louis X amended the constitution in 1959.

History

Conrad established a constitutional monarchy in 1841, upon the behest of rebelling ministers. In 1887, after Marguerite allowed Leuren to gain more autonomy, the Queen started to remove powers from herself in order to pacify radical republicans. In the 1930s, the absolute monarchy was restored briefly. Louis X set up a ceremonial role permanently in 1959 after a scandal in the government.
