Although the [[Sacred Land of Hiblund|Hiblund]] had been comfortably held its eastern territory for centuries, one social decision from the Hiblundiiun government had sent controversy throughout the land. This was to make the language of Hiblundiiun, which was already used by natives near the southern border, the official language and compulsory to learn, instead of Sedel. The real controversy was how the west had already made Hiblundiiun as a secondary language, being bilingually spoken by almost all of the western population. Unfortunately for the east, their public education is lacking for many different reasons, and would be extremely out of the blue for a change like this. Even though there was a year for this change to go in full force, many easterners were unhappy, and respectively so. The change was made because, as previously mentioned Hiblundiiun is spoken by a lot of the natives and is a sign of respect for them. Of course, that cannot be the only reason, as Hiblundiiun is actually easier to learn for foreigners, and it also bans the letter "g", which is deeply disrespected by those of the "h" religion, as it is replaces by a Latin gamma, "ɣ". The east had completely no tolerance for this law, and immediately wanted a peaceful but abrupt independence. After months of negotiating and debating, Hiblund had finally given up on the argument and gave Frarstizk its full independence on July 18th, 1946. Although the law was not carried over to the new nation of Frarstizk, the influence has not left with many Frarstizkians learning Hiblundiiun anyways. |
