Eisenberg is a city, located in eastern Besmenia. It is the capital of the Besmenian federal state of Neidenstein-Sulzburg, and with a population of 686,663 thousands, the biggest city in Neidenstein-Sulzburg and the tenth city biggest in Besmenia.
As the seat of the state government of Neidenstein-Sulzburg and the State Chamber of Neidenstein-Sulzburg as well as numerous state authorities, the city is the political center of Neidenstein-Sulzburg. In addition, important educational and cultural institutions of the federal state are concentrated here. Eisenberg is internationally known as the site of the signing of the Besmenian-Tinegardian Treaty in July 1850, and as the site of the 1957 Winter Olympics.
