The District of Sainte-Chloé was a district of the Community of Nations Joint Trust Territory of the Arucian Federation that was under the control of Estmere from 1935 until 1945, although was de facto administered by Satavia for all ten years of the district's existence. The island was occupied by Grand Alliance forces in 1934, whose Satavian elements remained on the island's garrison. In 1935, Vice Admiral Pieter Maldonando of the Royal Satavian Navy arrived on the island and became it's first military administrator, appointed by Satavia to oversee the actions of Pierre Voloix, the island's Governor.
