Jorj Vysel-Sdaander (pronounced /ʝoːɾiː vʉːzəl zdaːndəɾ/, also known by his initials JVS) is a Vyvlander wetaan for the Conservative Party, representing the seat of Melvdon. He is currently the country's Minister of Finance, responsible for the government budget and oversight of spending.

Biography

Vysel-Sdaander was born in 1968 in the commuter town of Rubre, southwest of Vlud, where both of his parents worked. From 1987 he attended the Technical College of Seldon in Seldon, but returned to Vlud after finishing his studies. Vysel-Sdaander married his ex-wife, Ana Wagneer, in 1993, but the couple divorced after Jorj had an affair. He has not remarried.

Vysel-Sdaander operated an internet marketing business from 1992, called RoijKorporation. Questions have been raised about the company's legitimacy around the products it offered - Niklas Brule called it a "back-of-a-van scam business'.

Vysel-Sdaander was placed low on the party list for Vlud province in the 1998 general election, failing to gain a seat. However, in the 2002 election, he was selected for the safe seat of Melvdon, a prosperous commuter town northwest of Vlud. In 2010, he was appointed as the Conservative Party's Spokesperson on Finance, and he became Vyvland's Finance Minister under Kurt Blymont after the 2013 election.

Following Blymont's resignation as Prime Minister in 2015, Vysel-Sdaander announced that he would participate in the party leadership election to decide Blymont's successor. He ended up finishing as the runner-up in the election to Gyneld Welelmsen, the then-Minister of Welfare. Vysel-Sdaander continued to serve as Finance Minister under Welelmsen's premiership.

Controversy

Vysel-Sdaander has been proven to have edited IIWiki under the name Johan Braan, removing negative references to himself, with at least three different user accounts. He has also vandalised other politicians' pages, both from his own party and other parties, to highlight more negative aspects of their lives and careers. Due to such controversies, national newspaper Entwerd branded Vysel-Sdaander 'the slimiest politician in Vyvland' in 2014.
