Ziromnia (/zɪərɒmniə/ zeer-OM-ni-a), officially the Empire of Ziromnia and Kursibar (/kɜːrsɪbɑːr/ KUR-si-bar), is a nation on Lake Okchon in central Elisia. It is bordered by Dalfan to the east and Oktadonia to the south on the island of Kursibar. Ziromnia additionally controls Nadylsium Island in Lake Okchon, Oganessia on the coast of western Elisia, and jointly controls the Djupteamiq Territory in Antartica alongside Cle Brait. Ziromnia is a member of the Okchon Alliance. It is a federal republic with its capital in Cellent, a city with rich history and culture. Other major urban areas include Astoria, Albireo, Thetryt, Arlex, and Toad Harbor.
Etymology
The name Ziromnia (Zēpomiví) comes from the original Ziromnian Empire (Zēpomivízeq Pïπjme), which in turn came from the Middle Ziromnian word åmví, meaning "power", and the Zeers River (Zēpc Eβpip). Additionally, the name for the Zeers River comes from Zeri Ix (Ζερι Ιχ), the name of the first king of the land.

Geography
Overall, Ziromnia is the 5th largest country on Telrova, behind the nations of Balan Bar, Tulov, Cle Brait, and The Fleet of Oceans. However, by water area, Ziromnia ranks at a distant 1st, with an estimated 168,300 sq mi being water, with 139,830 of those being held by the 15 largest lakes in the country. Ziromnia stretches from Lake Okchon all the way to the Arctic Ocean, with the mainland encompassing a total 1,654,202 sq mi of territory. Ziromnia's longest border is shared with Dalfan, spanning 1,442 mi. The only other border of note is the border with Oktadonia on the island of Kursibar, which spans a total 431 mi through the Ashland Desert.
Mainland Ziromnia can be divided into seven geographical regions: The Ozerov Forest, the Zholve Mountains, the Pyrtrip Desert, the Stolizik Shadow, the Omnian Woodlands, the interior plains, and the low-lying coastlands. The island of Kursibar is plagued by deserts, with a small habitable strip of land on the northern coast.
Climate
Due to the constant winds coming off of Lake Okchon, Ziromnia is cold for its location. The average summer temperature in Ziromnia is dependent on the region. In the southern states, the average summer high rests around 80°F. The central plains can be an average of around 65°F, while the mountainous areas only reach 55°F. The region near the Arctic Ocean can have an average temperature of 60°F. The winter temperatures are more consistent, with a common average high of 20°F, and a low of -10°F. The lowest temperature ever recorded in mainland Ziromnia was -72°F, recorded in December 1982 in Fyroveer, Kurzagt, with the highest being recorded as a tie at 112°F in August 1994 in Duga County, Valekoz, and in July 2019 in Port Arlex, Arlex.
Despite being caked in desert, the island of Kursibar doesn't often reach high temperatures, with the record high being 99°F. The lowest temperature in all of Ziromnia was recorded as -92°F in the Djupteamiq Territory in Antartica.

Ziromnia is divided into sixty-three states, and one outlying territory. These may also be grouped into eight regions: Ziroxeut Uthos (South), Ziroxeut Artylnec (Central), Ziroxeut Rthon (North), Ziroxeut Etsyw (West), Supero Omnia, Ogan, Kursibar, and Outlying Territories. Each state has its own governor and its own legislative system. States are responsible for their own education systems, roadways (barring the Levart Highway System), state parks, and environmental laws, excluding federal environmental restrictions.
