The 2003 Hverlandic presidential election took place to elect the President of Hverland for a 6-year term of office. The election featured two stages, the first of which was held to determine if a candidate could secure more than 50% of the vote. The second stage, or runoff, was to be held between the top two candidates if no majority was reached in the first round.
The 2003 election saw participation from the Social Democratic Party, the Centre Party, and Alternative, as well as an independent.
Turnout
The eligible voting population of Hverland stood at 82,709 in 2003. A total of 60,625 people, or 73.3% of the voting-eligible population, cast their votes.
