Batraz Khan Shazadeh, nicknamed Fyde Adamat (Father of the Nation), born in 1859 and died in 1915, was an Ayar military officer, revolutionary, statesman and head of state. He played a significant role in the liberation of Shirazam from Zilung Chen and his military successes during the Revolution helped transform the Second Republic of Shirazam from an insurgency into a proper state. He served as the first and only president of this Republic, juggling between the reconstruction of the country, international relations and diplomacy, as well as the conflicting political aspirations of his partisans and rivals. After the death of Zavir Khakestari in 1912, his right hand man, he would accelerate a process of centralisation of power. The most famous of these reforms was the merging of the positions of President and Prime Minister. Batraz objective was mainly to counteract the growing influence of his last rival, Roxolan. But the latter managed to create his own movement and ultimately marched on the capital Shirkal forcing Batraz and his followers to flee the city. Months later, Batraz would be betrayed by his generals who wished to avoid a civil war. His death by public execution solidified the alliance between Roxolan and the Marshals Quartet, the basis of the Third Republic of Shirazam.

Despite his end and autocratic tendencies, Batraz is still honored in Shirazam for his central role in the Revolution. He is the "Fyde Adamat", and the First among the Republic' Heroes.
