Diribaru also spelt Diri Baru, is a Monotheistic syncretic new religion established in Surubon in 1912. It combines various aspect of Zohism, Badi, and Sotirianity along with original theological concepts influenced by spiritism and western esotericism. Founded by Che Jaya Kechik in 1912, after a vision he recived from the Supreme Other, which is said to have instructed Kechik on the nature of reality and the true faith it wished to bring into the world, via Kechik. Diribaru states that the Supreme Other is a Incorporeal entity that created the world out of nothingness, it has through time chosen multiple Saints, like Soucius, Jesus Sotiras, and Ziujebano amonge many others. Followers practice forms of ancestor veneration, and incorperate spiritist practicies like séances, mediumship, and table-turning as key aspects of the religion. Ultimately Diribaru does not describe an afterlife, rather upon death. The souls of the dead will have to engage in combat against the souls of the dead and evil in order to occupy the bodies of newborns in order to preserve and expand the faith.

Diribaru rose to prominence in Surubon due to many factors. Its incorporation of traditional, and Eculean ideas were attractive to educated colonial bureaucratics. Later the new religion would find popularity with many in rural and urban communities, as it offered services parallel to the state. Initially a religion that was staunchly anti-colonial, it later sided with Gaulica, and the Asterian Federative Republic during the Great War and the Surubonese Civil War respectively, as it feared persecution from BHASUPAN and other allied Councilist movements, who viewed the religion as backwards and counterrevolutionary. After the wars the religion was suppressed, It remained an underground movement until the State of Openness when it was formally legalized by the state.

Today Diribaru is the 3rd largest religion in Surubon with almost 1 million members as claimed by the High Temple of the Elder. The state has supported Diribaru's flourishment by offering them free land grants and access to business opportunities within the Special Economic Zones as the religion and the state have formed closer bonds with each other since liberalization in the 90's. Currently the religion is attached to several organizations, including a series of Hospitals which mix traditional medicine and energy healing, multiple finance and commerce companies which operate regionally, and a political party, the New Horizons Social Harmony Alliance which currently has 2 members in the Dewan, and lend support to the current government. Diribaru has at numerous times been labeled a cult, a claim which the religions leadership denies.
