He is widely considered one of the best Allieuan footballers of all time, having helped lead the team to their best World Cup performance with a finals appearance in both 2004 and 2013. Touren retired from playing in 2013 at the age of 31, but began coaching for Sainte-Jean FC. He succeeded Sylvain Brugière as head coach of the national team in 2023.
