The fifth Osborne ministry is the current government of the Union of Esthursia. It was formed on 1 November, 2023, following the one-party investiture by the Houses of Berworth after the incumbent senior governing party, the Social Democrats won an absolute majority in the upper house by gaining in the November 2023 Midlands by-election. It is headed by Harold Osborne as forethane, and consists of 30 members, 1 of whom is in the Ministers. This figure does not apply to the Ministry, the lower-rank of the cabinet.

Key features of the fifth Osborne ministry included the return to majority one-party government for the Social Democrats for the first time since the second Osborne ministry thus a large turnover in reeves, the return of hard-left ex-Chancellor Jeremy Wilson as the Social Democrats' deputy leader into the Redery as the Afterthane, the second-in-command of the Redery. Osborne claimed that the cabinet was "one of the youngest and freshest in living memory", however the average age of Redery members was 47 as of November 2023, fairly average for recent history. Osborne is the first Forethane since George Asmont in 1941 to lead a fifth consecutive ministry.

Several new roles were formed, such as Public Safety, Citizens' Assemblies and International Development, while the Civil and Social Equities and Families, Households and the Youth departments were merged into Equalities, Households and Youth. The government rescinded its delegation to the Union of Aurorian States on the same date as the investiture vote, while the Ministers to the V4 and (upcoming) AN both gained redery-attending status. As a result, the Redery rose in size from 27 to 30 members, despite the reduction in Afterthanes from 2 to 1.

Investiture

The fifth Osborne ministry was invested on the first of November 2023, renewing the coalition government of the Social Democrats as a majority one-party government. Two members of the far-right Renewal Front party were suspended indefinitely as of the vote (and were later banned from the legislature), meaning that a majority would include a vote of 100 members. Green-Left abstained en masse, while the Liberal Party and the Progressives backed the government having removed the more hard-left Green-Left from government, thus voted alongside its investiture. All right-leaning parties voted against the investiture, including the EPP, Moderates and Alliance.
