The Wider Realms (as its called in Common Standard), sometimes rendered in writing as WR, refers to the world and generally the planet of Earth. As a broad term, it refers to all countries and territories of the world. The principal facilitator of international diplomacy in the Wider Realms is the Organization of Nations.
Human activity has been recorded in all areas of the Wider Realms since the Early era. The Dwapara Era saw the emergence of legendary empires such as the Eastern Empire and the Pacalay Empire. After the passage of dark ages in the Western realms, the Avenian Empire colonized large parts of the Southern realms, spreading the Common language until Odevia, its largest colonial federation, secured its independence. The pre-Modern era saw the emergence of rival hegemon powers Odevia and the Federate Union. Ever since the Visit of 1954, large areas of the Wider Realms have become "no-zones".
