SN "Amatom" S.A, stylized as AMATOM, and officially named the National Company of Atomic Energy Generation "Amatom" (Amathian: Ⰽⱁⰿⱂⰰⱀⰹⰰ Ⱀⰰⱌⰹⱁⱀⰰⰾⱐ ⰴⰵ Ⰳⰵⱀⰵⱃⰰⱃⰵ ⰰ Ⰵⱀⰵⱃⰳⰹⰵⰹ Ⰰⱅⱁⰿⰹⰽⰵ "Ⰰⰿⰰⱅⱁⰿ", tr. Compania Națională de Generare a Energiei Atomice "Amatom"), is an Amathian state owned company operating all the nuclear power plants in Amathia, created in 1995 by the reorganization of the Ministry of Energy's Direction of Electric and Thermal Energy Generation, as the successor of the Committee for the Administration of Atomic Energy. Amatom is a state-owned, non-profit company, with its shares being held by the Ministry of Energy and the Ministry of Economy and Commerce, and specializes in nuclear energy, having as its main objectives the generation of electric power with Amathia's nuclear power plants, scientific research, the development of the national nuclear fuel cycle, and ensuring nuclear and radiation safety.
