Amatom, stylized as AMATOM (ⰀⰏⰀⰕⰑⰏ), and officially named the Central Company of Amathian Atomic Energy Generation "Amatom" (Amathian: Ⰽⱁⰿⱂⰰⱀⰹⰰ Ⰽⰵⱀⱅⱃⰰⰾⱐ ⰴⰵ Ⰳⰵⱀⰵⱃⰰⱃⰵ ⰰ Ⰵⱀⰵⱃⰳⰹⰵⰹ Ⰰⱅⱁⰿⰹⰽⰵ Ⰰⰿⰰⱚⰹⰵⱀⰵ "Ⰰⰿⰰⱅⱁⰿ", tr. Compania Centrală de Generare a Energiei Atomice Amathiene "Amatom"), is an Amathian state owned company operating all the nuclear power plants in Amathia, created in 1995 by the reorganization of the Ministry of Energy's Direction of Electric and Thermal Energy Generation, as the successor of the Committee for the Administration of Atomic Energy. Amatom is a state-owned, non-profit company, with its shares being held by the Ministry of Energy, and specializes in nuclear energy, having as its main objectives the generation of electric power with Amathia's nuclear power plants, scientific research, the development of the national nuclear fuel cycle, and ensuring nuclear and radiation safety.
