Cheonghae Federation, natively 청해 연방 - is a democratic country located in the spiral arm of our galaxy. 396 star systems belong to the Federation, and it includes 1,182 habitable planets.
Cheonghae was founded by the crew and passengers of the colony ship 'Eulji', which departed from South Korea in 2060. Cheonghae reorganized the country's political system from a single republic to a federation in 2101 and revised its constitution.
History
Goverment
The structure of Cheonghae's government is determined by its constitution. Cheonghae's constitution has been revised several times since its enactment in 2072, and today's constitution has been revised in 2101.
Like many democratic countries, Cheonghae's government is composed of a legislative, judicial, and executive branch. The chief executive officer of the administration is the president, who also serves as the head of state. As the head of the administration, the president has executive, military, and diplomatic powers. The president can be impeached if he violates the Constitution, which requires the consent of a majority of the National Assembly and a final ruling by the Supreme Court. The legislature consists of a unicameral system National Assembly. The National Assembly consists of 1,500 members, who have the power to draft, amend, and enact legislation and the power to revise the Constitution. The Assembly can be dissolved by the president's decision, but in this case, a final ruling from the Supreme Court is required. The judiciary consists of the district court, the high court, and the Supreme Court. The district court and the high court are scattered in each province, but there is only one Supreme Court. The Supreme Court consists of Supreme Court justices recommended by the president and the National Assembly, and the elected chief justice.

Economy
Cheonghae's national economy is led by many large companies and small and medium-sized enterprises. Each company is making profits by leading a variety of fields, from asteroid belt mineral mining to interplanetary trade, planetary exploration, and infrastructure development.
Helium-3 is classified as a strategic resource for Cheonghae. Helium-3, a raw material used for room-temperature nuclear fusion, occupies an important place in Cheonghae. Although there are not a few planetary and asteroid belts where helium-3 is buried, due to the high demand for it, the government of Cheonghae manages helium-3 through a state-run company.
Since the majority of habitable planets that belong to Cheonghae's territory are used as residential complexes, agriculture is practiced not only on habitable land but also on ordinary rocky planets. Because the farmland used in Cheonghae adopts indoor cultivation methods, not the same way as humans did before entering space, it is possible to farm even on a planet without an atmosphere as long as it has enclosed cultivation facilities. In this case, the agricultural facilities are built with dozens of floors or more to make the most of the land's area.
Manufacturing, which has less land or environmental constraints than agriculture, is carried out on habitable planets, general rock planets, asteroid belts, space colony stations, and even at Lagrange Point. Small electronics and consumer goods are produced with little restriction on location. Personal vehicles are typically produced on populated planets for accessibility.
However, due to size and efficiency issues, spaceships are produced in planetary orbits or on shipyard stations located at Lagrange Point. It is not impossible to take off large spaceships several kilometers long into space from the surface of the planet, but it consumes a lot of energy and money.
Industrial high-speed 3D printers are common to small businesses as well as large businesses.
Science and Technology
In Cheonghae, anti-aging technologies have become commonplace. Developed by scientists in the early days of settlement, anti-aging technologies were quickly introduced to the public by governments that intended to increase their national power through population growth, and all the populations benefited from them. Today, Cheonghaean has an expected life expectancy of 600 years, with a large number of the population of the early pioneering generation still engaged in economic activity.
Cheonghae's cybernetic technology is highly advanced. Micro-personal terminals for interplanetary real-time communication, data exchange, network access, payments, and more are implanted into people's bodies and used in a way that connects to their brains. No physical or mental side effects from these technologies have been reported.
Cheonghae's spaceships travel through outer space using hyperspace leap technology. A hyperspace generator mounted on each spaceship forms a hyperspace around the spaceships for space travel, and the spacecraft can travel long distances through the hyperspace in a very short time. These hyperspace generators are expensive, but they are essential for moving through outer space.
