The national flag of Dahemia (Dahemian: Dämener Fändel; Notgerman: Flagge Dähmens; Hyacinthean: Drapeau du Dahême) is a tricolour of three equal and horizontal stripes of white, gold, and red, representing the country's national colors. It is informally referred to as «weiß, gold, rot» ("white, gold, red").
Design
Article 45 of the Basic Law stipulated that "the national flag is to be white, gold, and red." Exact color definitions and stripe proportions were not included, but general convention had it that the near-identical flag of the Kingdom of Dahemia with its ratio of 3:5 was used for reference.
The official design protocol of the Dahemian flag was adopted with the Flag and State Symbols Act (Flaggen- und Staatssymbolengesetz) in 1994. Alongside its passing into corporate design law, an exemplary mock-up of a flag was publically presented and is now put on display in the Chamber of Deputies plenary hall; its dimensions and design ratios are considered to be ideal.
