Henare Taimana, KCG, CGO, KStJ, PC, FRSA, (born 3 August 1974), is a Marenai-Gallambrian film producer and arts educator who is the thirteenth and current Governor of the Gallambrian Adlantic Ocean Territories, serving since 23 March 2023. Before being sworn-in as Governor, Taimana was Chancellor of the Royal College of Art from 2017 to 2022.
Career
After graduating from the Royal College of Art in 1996, Taimana became a filmmaker and producer for the Gallambrian Broadcasting Corporation, documentaries and educational films covering Marenai culture, regional history and cultural topics. After leaving the GBC in 2012, along with former GBC colleagues, went on to establish Black Door Studios, a Paeoterangi-based film studio. He served as the Studio's Chief Executive and Supervising Producer until 2017, when he was appointed as the Chancellor of the Royal College of Art.
On 19 October 2022, Prime Minister Nadia Burnett annouced that Taimana would become the 13th Governor of the Gallambrian Adlantic Ocean Territory, succeeding Marie Wirihana.
