The Imperial Dominion of New Columbia is a nation and Dominion of the Frankenlischian Commonwealth located in Cornellia. First settled in 1641, the dominion has a population of just over eight million registered citizens and residents, with the possibility of up to two million more unregistered. New Columbia is located on a semi-circular penninsular to the south of the continent of Ayaca and is mostly divided from San Carlo, its only neighbor, by a mountain range. Much of the nation is dominated with deserts and semi-arable steppe terrain with the coastal regions home to fertile farmland and generous deposits of metals. Though the country has large deposits of oil within its borders, very little of its natural resource potential is actually cultivated for a variety of reasons.
