The Castaliense Confederation (Dutch: Castaliense Statenbond), officially known as the Atmoran Confederation was the colloquial name of Atmora during the Atmoran Civil War following the failed coup d'ètat by Katherine I and the HM's Royal Guards to remove Chancellor Louwrens van Geuzendam from power in November 1943. Following the coup attempt the High Queen and her retainers had begun their evacuation to the Principality of Alsatia across the Halkeginian Sea on the Asvarrese Peninsula where King Ferdinand IV of Asvarre, Prince Charles-Gustaaf of Lippe, and Princess Wilhelmina of Alsatia have managed to successfully revolt against the fascist government in Alexandria.

With the High Queen's government now in the Asvarrese Peninsula, the High Queen sought to convene the Great Council of Rulers in Castalien, Kingdom of Asvarre to grant emergency powers to the High Queen so that she may use whatever means neccesary to liberate the Atmoran states, from Chancellor Geuzendam and those officers who are in open rebellion against the Federal Princes and the people.

Military Authority

The Royal Military Authority (Koninklijke Militair Gezag) was the Atmoran-led military government established when the Free Atmoran Forces returned to the Atmoran mainland on 29 October 1945 by High Queen Katherine I through royal decree. Upon the creation of the royal authority Chief of the Defence Staff was made military governor over the liberated territories held by royalist forces. The headquarters of the military government was at the Maëlysburg Palace, Melverre, Larsenburg

Free Atmoran Forces

The Free Atmoran Forces (Dutch: Vrije Strijdkrachten, VSK) were the units that remained loyal to High Queen Katherine I of Atmora. The High Queen reorganised the military units that made it to Asvarre on 29 December 1943 through the Royal Decree for Defence Regulations (Koninklijk besluit voor defensieregelgeving) establishing Free Atmoran Army, Her Majesty's Naval Forces, Free Atmoran Air Force, National Marechaussee, and along with giving royal assent to Asvarre, Alsatia, and Lippe raising their own military forces.

The Atmoran Free Army was the largest unit of the the Free Armed Forces, consisting of 297,500 enlisted and commissioned officers. Additionally the King Ferdinand IV of Asvarre formed the Royal Asvarrese Civic Guard a home guard unit of 650,000 volunteers. The newly raised Royal Asvarrese Army and Royal Asvarrese Gendarmerie under the command of King Ferdinand IV was placed under overall command General Christiaan van Rauschenberg of the Atmoran Free Army consisting of 65,000 soldiers and 9,500 gendarmeries.
