The Independence party is a centre/centre-right party in Azurnailia. It is the lead party of the Independence Coalition, and is the current ruling party, despite not having a majority in Congress. The party elected Ishikawa Kyumi as its leader, despite her military duties. It was founded in 1840 to prevent any more gains from the Absolute Azgarian Party. The Independence party, before the 2024 elections, has never won the presidential election, despite holding Obekyumi.
