AZL Kawakaze (Military name for Ishikawa Kyumi) is the 9th sister of the Shirastuyu class. She is most known for crushing the SMS coup and maintaining the peace of Azurnailia. She served back in 2016 due to the assassination of Wararu Kuina. She was officially born in 1948 and has served in the military since 1960. She won the Azurnailian 2024 Elections, beating out previous President Kawa Imashu II. She currently is the thrid president to command an army as president. She is also the Lead Destroyer in the Sakura Fleet.
Biography
Early Life
Ishikawa (Official name of Kawakaze) was born in Shukumi to Yukuri Aizen and Aisha Kyumi she had one sister, Shirakami Kyumi, who was 3 years younger than her. Even though Shirakami was younger, they were practicly twins. The only difference between the two was their eye color, Ishikawa’s was blue while Shirakami’s was Green. They both lived on a small farm near a small creek, which they both would travel and spend some time together. As the older sister, after their dad left for military duties, she would have to watch over Shirakami along with her mother. Sadly, her mother died in 1957 after a 5 year long battle against cancer.
Military service
Fast forward to 1960, As the second Gohanian war had started, development of iteration two of destroyers were completed. Ishikawa voluntary signed up to protect her sister Shirakami from being selected. As she heard reports that men were taking young females from their homes. So on August 15th 1960, she went through tests that were later described as "Cruel and unnecessary" in the ruling of Azur Lane LTD. vs Hyugano. After that she became top of her class in the Azur Lane Naval school.
She would serve in the Azur Lane as the lead ship of the first Sakura Destroyer Division.
