The Revolutionary Naval Naming Regulation Committee is a regulation board subservient to the Janpian Union of Revolutionary Navy that is tasked with naming and record-keeping all the ships and vessels that are in Revolutionary service. It was established on April 6, 1948, as part of the All-Union Order No. 211 during the Janpian Civil War, with the aim of renaming all mutinied ships from the Janpian Imperial Navy, and as a way to replace the old imperial ship naming convention. Regardless, it retained some aspects of the old naming convention just with a few added modifications, such as removing rank terminologies or people's name, and replacing them instead with the ship's pennant numbers or the Revolutionary Ideals. It was revised on October 24, 1995, as part of Marshal Khirelya's fleet restructuring.
Nomenclature
The nomenclature extends to the ship names only and not on the names of the class itself. Although the naming of the ship's class is under committee's jurisdiction, their regulations does not necessarily needed to be applied. The word "N" is added on the end of the ship's prefix if its nuclear powered.
