The Galactic Union, also known simply as The Union, is a democratic federal union spread across light-years of space in the Talin Galaxy. Old Union is the term affixed to the pre-modern Union that existed until 800 AHT.
The Old Union was founded in approximately 9,800 BHT. The Galactic Senate governed the Union under the Galactic Constitution, and comprised thousands of senators representing the Union's member worlds.
