The Special Tactics and Reconnaissance (Iravian: Speciale Tactieken en Verkennings), commonly abbreviated as SPECTREs, is an elite special mission unit of the Atmoran Army, under operational control of the Joint Special Operations Forces Command. The unit is tasked with specialized missions primarily involving hostage rescue and counter-terrorism, as well as direct action and special reconnaissance against high-value targets. SPECTREs and its IASC counterpart, the Atmoran Elite Special Operatives Teams, are the Atmoran military's primary counterterrorism units. SPECTREs and AESOP perform the most complex, classified, and dangerous missions in the Atmoran military, as directed by the Atmoran National Command Authority.

Most SPECTREs operators are selected from the Atmoran Army's Special Research Unit, as well as from other special operations units.
