The Central Gendarmerie (Amathian: Ⰻⰰⱀⰴⰰⱃⰿⰵⱃⰹⰰ Ⰽⰵⱀⱅⱃⰰⰾⱐ, tr. Jandarmeria Centrală) is one of the two federal police forces of Amathia, serving alongside the civilian Central Police. The Gendarmerie is a military police force under the authority of the civilian Ministry of Internal Affairs, being used for maintaining public order and for difficult and specialized law enforcement situations.
