The Autonomist faction (Faldarunic: ᛋᛦᛆᛚᚠᛋᛐᛅᚧᛁᛋᚡᛂᛁᛐᛁᚿ, tr. Sjálfstæðisveitin) is one of the main political factions in Faldarun. The faction shares a communalist outlook, and seeks to expand communal ownership in the economy, in addition to generally pursuing localism, minority rights and pacifism. Like all Faldarunic factions, however, political position can vary from member to member. This is especially present in the Autonomist faction and it's emphasis on freedom of thought. The current main 'figurehead' of the movement is Marijke Heijmans, who is also, after the 2017 Faldarunic Lawspeaker election, the current Lawspeaker.
