History
The presence of the Khan family in Britain can be traced to Suleiman Khan, an Islamic banker and the son of a World War Two soldier. They became political following Alexander Khan leaving the Royal Air Force at the rank of Air Commodore and becoming a Labour Member of Parliament for Hackney. Soon he was appointed Minister of Defence. Sir Alexander Khan was Prime Minister for multiple terms until he left the House of Commons in 2048 and joined the House of Lords as the Earl of Leyton.
Political ideology
The Khans are multiculturalists, trade unionists and pro-military. They have been described as "Islamic feminists" by the left-wing press and say "we consider men and women to be different but of equal value and equal in the eyes of Allah (Subhana Wa Tala)"
