This is the official timeline of Riscelnia, with all events that had an effect on the country. Years will be listed in I.S to avoid confusion.
The list is still undergoing reviews and new additions, so until further notice, this article will be classed as WIP.

The Riscelnian Calendar (RC) is designed by Axeli Hammarverk. This year also becomes the year 0 for the 1st Era in the Riscelnian Era Calendar (RCE1).

|
The royalty-in-exile from Zanaro arrives at what is today Südhamn, and set up a temporary shelter. This year also marks the start of the second era of the RCE.

The first official Zanarite settlement is founded. Colonists begin attempts to introduce the Zanarite culture and their religion, Soriven.

The First Republic of Riscelnia-Zanaro is declared this year, becoming the first ever official nation on Riscelnian soil.

The Zanaro exiles depart from Riscelnia to reclaim their homeland with a massive army. As a large portion of the military disappears with the Zanarites, smaller raids on frontier settlements commence.

The raids on frontier settlements reach a breaking point, and this erupts into the (First) Riscelnian Revolt in June of 1507.

After three years of fighting, the remaining Zanarite forces pull out of Riscelnia.

The Second Republic of Riscelnia-Zanaro is founded.

The Zavard Revolt takes place, overthrowing the Republic of Riscelnia-Zanaro. In its place comes the First Republic of Riscelnia.

The First Republic of Riscelnia is overthrown in the Zavard Revolution of 1639, and in its place comes the Independent Republic of Riscelnia.

Tensions spark up between the IR and the Zanaro colony, and military presence on the border grows.

May 23 |
Without officially declaring war, the IR marches forces across the border into the colony, seizing most of it in a single day.

The last Zanarite forces surrender, and the colony is annexed into the IR.

March 2 |
After increasing taxes on noblemen, they assemble an army of their own outside Südhamn and march on Zavard, confronting the IR forces at the Battle of Jazine, not far from Zavard. The IR wins, but the noblemen are given more privileges.

After a week of turmoil, Riscelnia's government collapses entirely, starting what would become the Inter-governmental period.

The first draft of a new constitution is submitted to the parliament. It is rejected three days later.
