Turglesia, officially the Kingdom of Turglesia (Turglesian: '), is a country located on the continent of North Utopia. It borders Maraknia to the east, Its capital city is Vorda, which is also the most populous urban area. The territory of Turglesia also comprises the autonomous region of Caberna.
History
Establishment
It is belived that the first people to settle whet is today Turglesia were from North Utopia although it is disputed where exactly. Most presume Daunlaund or New Wolvers. Those people who came to be known as the Turgs were sailing towards the South Utopian when they reached the Island of Vorda. This was in thd year 767 BC. The city of Vorda was founded two hundred years later in 960 BC. The Turgs eventually lent their nane to thd land they settled in and they quickly settled all of Vorda and the neighbouring isle of The Isle of Trulle. The Turgs went through a golden age as settlements expanded and the economy of the nation boomed. Quickly they began looking for new lands to expand their wealth.
The Reign of Conquest
In 1032 the then King, Valiel IV who was concerned over crowding on The Isle, Vorda began looking further out for new land in which his people could grow. He sent his navy to the islands surrounding Vorda and soon the new lands of Trostun and Nilus were founded. By the year 1060 all of the islands of the Outer Turglesian had been conquered and now an older Valiel decided that his people should look to the peninsula south west of the Outer Turglesian. They reached the Northern coast of what is now known as Inner Turglesia where they founded the province of Trulia and the city of Vells. They soon came into contact with the Cabernese who are also Turgs but settled the Turgeseian peninsula about 75 years prior to the Vordese Turgs. The two groups made an peace pact.
Union of The Crowns
In 1290 there were two kingdoms in the Turglesian lands. Caberna and Veijen which had their own monarchs and sprokks. The king of Caberna Leopold III did not have an heir and his nearest relative who was his cousin was Aleksander II who was also the heir to the throne of Veijen when Leopold died Aleksander became the king of Caberna, Aleksander's father Aleksander I died a year later meaning that Aleksander was now the monarch of both Caberna and Veijen he set about unifying the two kingdoms and formed The Kingdom of Turglesia with its capital in Vorda.
Cadanz Republic, Civil War
In 1610 in the city of Cadanz a group of 12 men known as "The Candanzan Republic Group" were formed as a group to try and get rid of thd Turglesian monarchy they quickly grew in number which was reported to the Turglesian Secret Police in Vorda. They staged a coup with the help of the Cadanzan provincial gaurd. They took over the province of Cadanza within six days and soon other provinces such as Ostria and Austra joined the new Republic of Turgs. The Turglesian Kingdom declared war on the three breakawag provinces. The Cabernese Royal Guard launched an invasion of the city of Jorn in Ostria and eventually took the province. Trulia and Noria pushed towards Cadanza from the west and north and sloely overwhelmed forces there. In Outer Turglesia there was more of a struggle as Austra took the the city of Trostun from Veijen despite this they were eventually defeated by the superior Veijen naval might. The Republic fell five years after its inception. After the war Cadanza was cut up between the victorious provinves abd the new province of Levina was forned from the southern portion of the province.
Autonomy Act
In 1832 the Autonomy act was ratified in the Turglesian parliament that the province of Caberna wiuld be able to make its own decisions in the form of having its own devolved parliament in Cabenz and that it be recognised as an autonomous kingdom within Turglesia.
