The 2020 Ørdegnien presidential election was held on 14 May 2020. The acting President, independent Johan Olsson, was elected to a full, five-year term, with 71.1% of the popular vote, defeating former People's Party leader, Valdemar Söderberg. It was the first direct election for the Ordennyan Presidency, after a constitutional amendment formally separated the positions of Head of State and Head of Government, into the ceremonial President of the Federation and the executive Prime Minister of Ordennya. Ordennya uses the wikipedia:Two-round system for Presidential elections, but as only two candidates were nominated, only one round was held. Turnout was 59%, as unlike federal parliamentary elections, voting in Presidential elections is not compulsory.
