Bruxenburg, or the United Kingdom of Bruxenburg, is a country. It is made up of two constituent nations, The Kingdom of Alzerzollern, and the Kingdom of Hohenbrux, of which's crowns are King Charles IV of Alzerzollern and King Willem II of Hohenbrux. The two monarchs reign jointly, with shared oversight of the Prime Minister, though Alzerzollern has its own First Minister, and share the title of Head of State. Hohenbrux and Alzerzollern technically have individual militaries, however they have the same leadership. The Head of Government is Prime Minister Julius De Waal, a democratically elected official, who also serves as Chancellor of the Parliament.
Modern Bruxenburg was formed in 1918 after the Act of Union joined the two independent Kingdoms, which had up until then been dominated by their neighbours. Though similar, the two kingdoms' cultures are considered "seperate with a shared history". The Alzi language and culture has declined in recent decades, though still retaining its status as the Primary Official Language of Alzerzollern, it declined from being 68% of Alzerzollern residents first language in 1970 to only 31% in 2015. The most widely spoken languages in Bruxenburg are Brux, Anglish, Alzi and Dolch.
