The Battle of Al Kaskara was an engagement of the Islamic Jihad for Gestoria. The muslim forces under Sultan Al-Ghazzawi of Prodava met with Vionna-Frankenlischian forces under Major General Sir Stanley Stelwyn. Imperial forces, consisting of the 31st and 38th Regiments of Foot, dug in on a ridge by the Malducian town of Marienberg (claimed as Al-Kaskara by Prodava) and stood for a day and a night against constant Islamist attacks before being virtually anihalated on the morning of the 20th. The battle brought time for Imperial forces under Lord Lynwood to join with troops of Prince Eugene of Passero's Malducian army, leading to the decisive Battle of Bexketh.
