The MacGregor F1 Team is an Aswickan motor racing team based in the MacGregor Centre, Sherbourne, Aswick. It is the second oldest existing, and second most successful constructor in Astyrian Formula One after Phaeton, having achieved 13 Constructors' Championships. They also hold the most drivers' championhips of any team, achieving 15 Drivers' Championships.
History
Winthrop-Cozworth engines (1970-1981)
Scotian racing driver Glenn MacGregor founded MacGregor Racing in 1970 to participate in Astyrian F1 after a racing injury made him unable to drive competitively. They were supposed to join at the beginning of the 1970 F1 season, but unforeseen delays caused them to miss the season's first race. Their first entry yielded only a 4th place finish, when fellow Aswickan team MSDT took the Constructors' Championship. However, they managed to claim their first win at the 1973 Nikolian Grand Prix. MacGregor Racing steadily improved until they were able to claim their first championship in 1974 in the MacGregor MG5, piloted by < name >.
In 1975, Glenn MacGregor reorganized the company, creating MacGregor Cars in 1975. Under this new organization, MacGregor F1 was created to continue its participation in the sport, receiving its funds from sales of the road car division. In 1977, MacGregor almost took the Drivers' Championship with Aswickan driver < name >, but he lagged behind his rival < name >, who drove for Phaeton. Moreover, they were unable to claim the Constructors' Championship that year, taking 2nd place.

Sponsorship
MacGregor was initially called MacGregor Racing from 1970 to 1975. This was changed after MacGregor reorganized the company and created MacGregor F1 to replace it. MacGregor was notorious for its adamant refusal to have title sponsors, always entering into competition under the name MacGregor F1 Team. Nevertheless, they sported liveries of their biggest sponsors over the years.
Their first few years lacked any sort of sponsorship, so the cars sported an orange livery from 1970 to 1978. In 1979, MacGregor wore the colors of its first major sponsor: < name >. Their red and white color scheme identified MacGregor cars up until 1995.
In 2000, < name > withdrew their title sponsorship, and so < name 2 > took its place. As a result, MacGregor wore the brand's colors of < color > and < color > beginning in 2001.
In 2006, MacGregor was forced to end its partnership with < name 2 > due to the ban on all tobacco advertising in Astyrian F1. The following year, MacGregor signed a 5-year contract with Maltinger. The team changed their livery colors to < color > and < color >.
In 2015, MacGregor returned to an orange livery, emulating the livery of the first MacGregor cars.
