Anderum, officially Confederation of Anderum, is a large confederation of free cities and nomadic Anderi clans of the The Great Steppe. in Thuadia. It borders Shadoveil to the west, Whitmarche to the north and Nerany to the east.

Etymology

The name Ander has an interesting etymological background as it is one of the few exceptions to the notoriously protected front-back vowel harmony of the Anderian language. Ander was a demigod warlord figure in the Anderine folktale who had united the proto-Anderi clans and led them to the safe lands of Kagatum, now Anderum. The -(u/ú)m suffix is an archaic noun-modifier attributive affix, thus the word Anderum is in fact a nounified adjective, meaning something along the lines of Ander's or related to Ander.

Demographics

The supermajority of the country are, more profoundly in the rural side but also in urban settlements, the Anderines. The Tashrek people are the largest minority in the country and the regional majority in the southern half of the Zahak Mountain Range. Various groups of Sivuk origin are dispersed across the nation, primarily in coastal cities, the most notable being the Belamunese.
