The Saltstil Pact (SP) (SP; Vultesian: Pan Afszaltsil, PA; Spanish: Pacto de Saltstil, PS) is an intergovernmental organisation consisting of four separate institutions in Olivacia, Astariax, and Meredonne governed by common institutions. These institutions are the Oriental Trade Alliance, the Eastern Energy Partnership, the Saltstil Defence Pact, and the Eastern Benevolent Fund. Although each institution is governed by an independent body, they are overseen by the Saltstil Intergovernmental Conference, consisting of the heads of state and government and ministers of member states. The pact consists of seven member states: Freice, Gavrilia, Gran Rugido, Riamo, Vultesia, Wellsenfaile, and Xzavaria.

The Saltstil Pact is the largest intergovernmental organisation of its kind in the east, and is a significant economic, political, and diplomatic power. The organisation's principal aim upon its founding was protecting the independence of eastern nations against perceived western influence. Today, the organisation has developed beyond this initial aim, expanding to encompass regional integration, cooperation, and mutual understanding.

Projects

Oriental Trade Alliance

The Oriental Trade Alliance is a free trade area under the organisation of the Saltstil Pact, and forms one of three of the principal agencies of the pact. Member states of the Oriental Trade Alliance do not impose any tariffs or quotas on goods entering their states from other member states. The implementation of common standards and quality assurance processes allows for goods to be imported without customs checks, whilst traders can self-certify compliance with agreed rules of origin.

Around 94% of tariffs have been removed through the implementation of the alliance's provisions.

Eastern Energy Partnership

The Eastern Energy Partnership provides for a reduction in tarrifs and the implementation of preferential treatment to the energy entities and organisations of other member states. It also mandates the implementation of policies aimed at preserving the environment of the Pact, including a mandatory budget of 0.8% or more of a member states' GDP to be put to preserving and protecting the environment, to be pooled and distributed by the Partnership as a whole.

An 'Eastern Energy Group' is a part of this partnership, providing for a forum for discussions between the energy entities and corporations of the member states, and to promote the enhancement, investment, and development of energy reserves and energy cooperation in the east.

Saltstil Defence Pact

Members of the Pact pledge not to enter into any act of aggression or other form of violence or threatening action towards another member state, with a 'minimal state of Neutrality by all parties' expected in the event that a member enters into conflict with a non-member state. Moreover, member states pool certain defence prerogatives to a Board of Command and a defence committee, which oversees the implementation of defence treaty provisions.

Members also agree to come to the aid of any member in the defence of their territorial and political integrity upon their request, operating a system of collective defence where an attack upon one member states is considered an attack upon all members. To provide for mutual defene, a minimum budget of 1.5% of nominal GDP is required to be dedicated to military spending
