The Commonwealth Air Force (CSDF Air Force, Myrian: 英联邦空军, romanized: Yīng Liánbāng Kōngjūn) also commonly referred to the Aldian Air Force, is the aerial warfare branch of the Commonwealth Self-Defense Forces and is the third-largest branch of the military with more than 200,000 active personnel. The Air Force operates a range of aircraft types ranging from combat aircraft, transport, electronic warfare, bombers, satellites and unmanned combat aerial vehicles. The Air Force is the youngest branch of the entire CSDF, having only been established in 1950 as it originally operated under the auspices of the Commonwealth Army and Commonwealth Navy as the Army Air Corps and Aldian Naval Aviation Combat Corps respectively. Aside from operating aircraft the Air Force is also responsible for maintaining the country's anti-air defense systems, missile silos, radar facilities & military satellites.
