The Order of Vitéz National Corps (OV.NC; often just referred to as VITNAC or Vitéz; Granzerian; "Vitézi Rend Nemzeti Hadtest, VR.NH or VITREND"; Ermanic; "Orden Vitéz Nationalekorps, OV.Nk or VITNAK" is a major paramilitary and military organization under Karoly Taksony and the New Renaissance Party in the National Republic of Granzery. The Corps was formed shortly following the Granzerian Revolution of 1987, multiple nationalist leaders of the Revolution were given the honorific "Order of Vitéz" and the National Corps was founded as a paramilitary organization intended to persecute communists and ethnic minorities in the country.

While the Granzerian Army has shrunk over recent years Vitéz has only grown, peaking at 60,000 members in 2022 compared to 100,000 members of the regular army in that same year. They have been regularly involved in operations in the countries east rooting out insurgent groups in the area. In 2010 Vitéz also assumed control of border patrol and border controls, particularly on the eastern border.

Unlike the regular Granzerian army the training period for Vitéz members are much longer, and unlike the Army is a wholly volunteer force. Despite this, much of the training and education received by Vitéz volunteers amounts largely to political indoctrination and brutal discipline. While they receive some level of Counter Insurgency training not received by regular troops, largely Vitéz members are considered no better trained than regular Granzerian conscripts, although they often receive more modern equipment and logistical priority. Some analysts suspect that Vitéz is intended to overtake and replace the Granzerian Army at some point in the future.

Origin

The Order of Vitéz

The Order of Vitéz is an anticommunist secular chivalric order granted to anticommunist leaders of the Granzerian Revolution of 2022, the first member was GRANEM leader Viktor Szombathy. Following the April 1987 Granzery Riots seven Order of Vitéz members agreed to collect their irregular forces and stamp out student protestors and any remaining pro-communist elements. Zoltan Kárpát assumed control of the proto-organization initially, and led them directly into the 1987 Granzerian pogroms, which led to the burning and destruction of businesses and homes belonging to suspected communists. As a result of rampant anti-Semitism and ethnic hatred in these combat groups, Jewish, Stehkrainyan and Plehcheki groups were specifically targetted, and over 20,000 people were killed over the course of several weeks, over 15,000 of which belonged to non-Granzerian ethnic groups.

National Corps

The Granzerian government in May stepped in to stop the pogroms which at this point had spiralled out of control due to a lack of central leadership, with violence occuring at this point almost at random across the country. To curb the violence the Granzerian Vezér at the time, Istvan Kende, who had only just assumed the role of Vezér, approached Zoltan Kárpát, Viktor Szombathy and other paramilitary leaders to bring and end to the wanton destruction. Arpad decided to incorporate these paramilitary groups into the apparatus of the Renaissance Party, bringing them directly under his control. Naming Kárpát the Knight-Marshal of the Order, the Granzerian state at the behest of the Vezér immediately looked to consolidate its control over the country, and the National Corps was formed to root out any remaining communist sympathizers or resistance members, thus began the Granzerian White Terror which continues to this day.
