The most numerous tank owned by the Elatian government (20,000+), albeit almost entirely in storage for mobilisation units. Features 115mm smoothbore gun. Upgraded in early-80's-90's with laser rangefinder, uprated engine (750hp), smoke grenade dischargers, improved protection, tungsten-cored APFSDS rounds and AT-10 Stabber missile capability. The V-66M1 features ERA blocks in the turret rear, applique spaced armour at the turret front and applique panels at the hull front. The V-66M2 is similar but with ERA blocks all around the turret. The vast majority still have IR searchlight and active nightsight rather than thermal imaging.
