The Ankur-North Airport is an airbase located in Madina Saida Yaminah, 21.1 kilometers north of Ankur. It is one of the two airports of the city with Ankur-South Airport.
Incidents
On August 12 1980, SalamAir Flight 243 mistook the Ankur-North Airport, which became owned by the military on July 29,for a civilian airport, causing the plane to be shot by air defense.
