Air Chief Marshal Sir Louis Davies GCStG, KCG, AFC and Bar, PC, FRAeS, FIEGall, FAE (born 7 June 1953) is a retired Royal Gallambrian Air Force officer who served as the Chief of Air Staff. In 2021, he was appointed Governor of the Bailiwick of Furneaux.

Air Force Career

In 1971, while attending the University of Tamworth, Davies joined the University of Aberdeen Air Squadron, a RGAF Reserve Officer Training Squadron based at RGAF Learmonth. Where he completed his Initial Officer Training and obatin his Preliminary Flying Training Badge.

Upon graduating from University, he was commissioned in the RGAF as a Flying Officer. He was selected to fly ground attack aircraft, and completed advanced flight training on the Aardvark GRA.7 fighter-bomber aircraft. He then took command postings at squadron and wing level before taking command of No. 2 Group.

In 2012, Davies was appointed Chief of the Air Staff, until his retirement in 2013.

Governor of the Bailiwick of Furneaux

After working as a senior military consultant for GAe Systems, King Albert II appointed Davies as the Governor of the Bailiwick of Furneaux. He assumed the post in April 2021.
