Nordair is a regional airline based in Jakóbgard, Navack and operating within the northern and Arctic regions of Asura. Its destinations include mainly communities where travel by other methods is lacking, as well as service by larger airlines. Its headquarters and main hub is Jakóbgard Airport (OST), on the Navish island of Ostry.

History

Nordair first emerged as a concept in the late 1980s, when a number of Navish communities in the far north and Sturhlundic archipelago signed a petition demanding more consistent and frequent travel to the mainland, citing the lack of dedicated flights, especially outside of Ostry. In the mid-1990s, with the Ostric Conflict settling down, Navish venture capitalist Ludvig Hall announced plans in November of 1996 to establish and operate a privately-owned low-budget carrier focused on the North Sea and and surrounding communities. Nordair officially was found on 24 June 1998, with two refurbished Margert D3-100s making up its initial fleet. The company's first flight left Jakóbgard for Velbri on 2 May 1999. Since Nordair's founding, Hall has remained the company's CEO.

In 2005, Nordair's fleet was expanded with the purchase of a larger Margert D3-200, growing its number of planes in service to three. As of 2019, the company is currently in talks to purchase a Gladiator GRJ-190, which if approved will become the largest airplane in its fleet, with room for 97 passengers.
