The Palingian State was a state in Central Nortua which succeeded the Kingdom of Palingia and existed from September 1961 to May 2000.
The state was founded after the military coup in 1961, after which the general of the Palingian Armed Force Heinrich Meinhardt was appointed president. During his almost 39-year tenure, Meinhardt ruled dictatorially, and Palingia evolved into a right-wing autocratic dictatorship under his regime. After the coup in 2000, the autocratic dictatorship ended and a transition to democracy began.
