2005 marked the beginning of a standard electoral year, with Nikola Tesla officially dissolving the Chamber of Representatives and bringing forth a new general election. With Nikola Tesla running for re-election, a majority of electoral analysts predicted an easy victory considering the popular image of the scientist within the country and the campaign focused on who would form the official opposition.
