Valente Pesaro (January 3rd, 1944) is a former member of the Chamber of Representatives who served as leader of the Future Party between 1980 and 2014.
Early life and career
Valente Pesaro was born on the 3rd of January 1944 in Aria, a city that then served as the capital of the National Workers' Republic, one of the major factions in the Malgravean Civil War.
Between 1944 and 1962 information on Valente is limited, however, it is known that he was a member of the NWR version of the Gabriel Narutowicz Pioneers and the Free Democratic Youth (Malgrave). In 1962 Valente volunteered to serve in the Patriotic Front, as a part of his military service he received political education and advanced military training at the military academy in Aria.
Between 1966 and 1968 Valente was involved in efforts to seize the industrial city of Pakosc from the United Kingdom, however, due to the work of the student division and the southern training regiment his efforts were unsuccessful. In the course of these operations, Valente received injuries which granted him the ability to accept a medical discharge.
After leaving military service, Valente took a position at StateDef, the state-run defence company which he continued to serve until the collapse of the NWR in 1979. Following the collapse of the NWR, Valente was briefly held by the Special Investigative Service but was released to undergo rehabilitation before the start of the mass execution of senior members of NWR political and economic spheres.
Chair of Future Party
Valente Pesaro founded the Future Party on the 12th of January 1980 in conjunction with a number of other low-level officials and workers from the National Workers' Republic that had been able to avoid arrest after the collapse of the separatist republic. Initially the Future Party was focused on calling for an increase in support for former territories of the NWR, with the name Future Party being used to advocate for a brighter future for Aria and the surrounding region.
At the start of the Lost Decade Valente started promoting harsher rhetoric, with the Future Party blaming the economic crisis on the territories of the Socialist Republic and arguing that a break from isolationism would weaken the Malgravean people. In this period, the Future Party was investigated several times for comments made to the media, however, all these investigations resulted in no concrete action being taken against the party.
In 2014 the Future Party made several references to constructing nuclear weapons in Malgrave which went against provisions in the constitution against such weapons, as a result the party was investigated by the electoral commmission and forcibly dissolved prior to the 2014 Malgravean General Election.
