Maximae II (17 January 1415- 20 April 1487) was Queen of Nova Solarius from 1453-1487 and Queen of Dual Sun Union from 1464-1487. Velma assumed the name Maximae II after the first queen of Nova Solarius, Maximae I, who Velma looked up to. She is regarded as one of the best monarchs in Nova Solarius during the Glory Period of Solarius.
Maximae was born to Solus XIV and Karis Marian, during the reign of her Uncle, Taejo IV. She was the the younger sister of Raymus I, and one of only two children Solus XIV. This was during a period called the Three Brothers Period, where a succession of Brothers happened after each one had been assassinated during their reign. It was a fearful time for the royal family and prevented Maximae from going far from the Palace. This in turn, led to signs of loneliness and depression at a young age. It was only after the assassination of her father, did the assassinations stop. At age 16, Maximae was able to get far from the Palace and took a trip throughout the country.
After Raymus I died without an heir, the Council appointed Velma as Queen of Solarius.
During Maximae's reign, economic and political growth came from a series of reforms known as the Belgos Reforms.
