Vice Admiral Maurits Ernest Gunther Sievering, CMA RA VO VK (26 May 1886 – 27 January 1942) was an Atmoran naval officer who during the Voshan War III commanded the III Battle Squadron during the Battle of Cape Alava. Admiral Sieveing was killed in action after his flagship HMS Leeuw was sunk by the Rijkskrijgsmarine battlecruiser RMS Anholt, Admiral Sievering chose to go down with his ship.

Admiral Sievering was killed in action during the Battle of Cape Alava after delaying Admiral Herman Buitenhuis's perusing forces attempting to capture High Queen Katherine I, Admiral Sievering chose to go down with his ship. Following the sacrifice of Admiral Sieveing, the High Queen had posthumously promoted Sievering to the rank of Vice Admiral and awarded the Commander's Cross of the Military Order of Alexandra
