The Cordobez-Yugoslavian territorial dispute (Chernogorkan: Hordožsko-jugoslavskij graničnij spor/Хордожско-йугославский граничний спор) is an ongoing territorial dispute between Cordomonivence and Yugoslavia over the region of the Varenki Plateau or also known as North Varonland by Cordomonivence, this region composes an area of around 2,529 km2 (976 sq mi). All this region is completely controlled by Yugoslavia but Cordomonivence also claims it as the historical region of Varonland.
The origin of this territorial dispute comes from the Kingdom of Cordomonivence, who controlled this region after the Cordobez unification wars and named the region under the province of Varonland (which would include the disputed area and the region of south Varonland controlled by Cordomonivence). On the Cordobez Freedom War or also known as the First Cordobez Civil War,the neighboring kingdom of Severje took advantage of this situation and decided to expand into Varonland but due to Cordobez resistance in south Varonland, they only managed to invade the north. After the region was occupied,Severje officially annexed it and renamed the region to its modern name, the Varenki Plateau. After the Cordobez Freedom war ended and the first republic was founded,Cordomonivence was both military and economically unable to take back the region by force so Cordomonivence issued multiple diplomatic protests to Severje in an attempt to peacefully take the region back but they refused,so Cordomonivence seemed unable to do anything but mantain its claim on the region
This region would then be controlled by Severogorka after the Kingdom of Severje and Gorka would enter in a personal union. On 1931,the Greater Cordobez State,a Cordobez nationalist military dictatorship decided to take back the region who would still have plenty of Cordobez population, so they sent an ultimatum to Severogorka demanding the Cordobez annexation of the disputed area but Severogorka refused and Cordomonivence declared war. This war would have lasted until 1933 when seeming unable to do proper advances due to the Severogorkan guerrilla warfare and to avoid further economic exhaustion,Cordomonivence offered peace with Severogorka, which they would later accept. After the third Cordobez civil war and the creation of another Cordobez state in 1948,the Severogorkans would begin to worry about a new possible Cordobez invasion and would begin to quickly precipitate to unify with a bigger slavic kingdom,Yugoslavia and in 1955,Severogorka would officially unite with Yugoslavia.

Foreign opinions
On this section,we would see the modern opinion of foreign countries about this dispute.
At first,Morrawian opinion on this dispute would have been neutral but after the Cordobez invasion of Severogorka in 1931,Morrawia would been fully supportive of the Yugoslavian side, stating the Cordobez state to be an expansionist and slavophobic state, this Morrawian opinion would mantain for several decades but it would begin to soften througout the time.In the modern times, seeing that both Cordomonivence and Yugoslavia would been in the Veligrad Pact and that Morrawia would mantain pretty good relations with good countries,Morrawia would have a neutral position on this dispute, willing and working as an intermediary for this dispute in multiple conferences to end this dispute although none have end up succesful to end the dispute.
The Penguinian opinion over this dispute would be completely neutral over most of the contemporary times but with the recent increase of the Cordobez-Penguinian relations since the 90's,Penguinia would mantain an opinion on this dispute more favorable for Cordomonivence but still being mostly neutral.Penguinia would also have expressed its willingness as an intermediary on this dispute but due to its great relations with Cordomonivence,Yugoslavia would have rejected this offers.

Island of Gorba
The island of Gorba is a Cordobez-owned island in the southern Marmor sea, this island haves little population but a high amount of Cordobez military assets and economic resources such as fishes, forests and crude oil. This island is currently claimed by Yugoslavia, here are the opinion of both Cordomonivence and Yugoslavia over this claim.
The island of Gorba, used by Cordobez military as an advance naval base in the Marmor Sea, is ever since 1944 claimed by Severogorka, and later the claim was inherited by Yugoslavia in 1955. The government of Severogorka was ruled by pan-Slavist, unionary government (one which seeked the unification of Severogorka and Chernozemye) in 1944, and in the name of pan-Slavism they declared the January Declaration (Chernogorkan: Sěčenjska obznana/Сѣченйска обзнана), which declared Severogorkans are Yugoslav folk, that anyone agains unification is working against the national interests of Severogorka, and that certain areas are required as compensation from Cordomonivence for the war a decade prior. Area described was the island of Gorba - it presented a great opportunity for Severogorka, as it would become the first island to be posessed by the nation, as well as allow its Navy to hold the doors of the Marmor Sea and expand the nation's EEZ.
Justifying this, Severogorkan leaders pointed out that it was geographically closer to Severogorkan shore than Cordobez one, and that Cordomonivence illegally took the island centuries earlier and never returned it. Furthermore, they claimed it was used to blackmail Severogorkan ships and Navy, and to undermine the nation's EEZ and economic exploatation rights of the Marmor Sea. It was presented in the public as a matter of economic and historical importance, but no military or economic action was ever taken to coerce or force Cordomonivence to entertain handing the island over.
Cordomonivence, being the current owner of Gorba and having it incorporated as a part of its subdivisions, would have declared all Severogorkan and subsequently,Yugoslavian territorial claims on the island of Gorba to be completely illegitimate and nonsense. The main reason for this was the Cordobez conquest of Gorba on 1745 when the Kingdom of Cordomonivence captured and annexed it on its expeditionary campaigns on the Marmor sea, since then,Gorba has been part of Cordomonivence.Cordomonivence also completely refuses to cede the island of Gorba to Yugoslavia, this because of the strategical position, high amount of military assets mainly from the navy and air force and its economical importance, providing a bigger EEZ for Cordomonivence and providing around 38% of economical gain of the Cordobez fishing industry. With this,Cordomonivence calls the Yugoslavian state as an expansionist and potentially dangerous state for the Cordobez territorial integrity
