Throughout her political career she has called for greater ties to Belisarian nations.

Early life and education

Adeodata Haddad was born to parents Dido (née: Bakra) and Deusdedit Haddad. Her father is of Variagoi descent and her mother is of Alalian descent. She is the youngest of four children, with three older brothers: Eraric, Sigeric and Michael. Her maternal grandparents were forcibly converted from Judaism in the 1940s during the Alalian Troubles.

While at university, Haddad joined the Radical Party youth student organization, though admitted that she only attended a handful of meetings before dropping out of the organization; she joined the Youth Democratic Movement in her second semester.

Career

Legislative career

Haddad de Saabi was first elected to the Popular Assembly in 2012 as list member of In Avante. During her first term she sponsored or co-sponsored no legislation, though sat on the Assembly's Committee of Foreign Affairs. She was described as unremarkable by peers near the end of her first term and was removed from the party list prior to the next election.

After being removed from the party list, Haddad de Saabi stood for the Assembly seat in Pons Veii. Following a close election, she was victorious after gaining 42% of the vote and returned to the Senate. She continued in her position on the Foreign Affairs Committee and took a key role in seeing Sydalon join the Belisarian Customs Union. She often spoke of her desire to see Sydalon join the Community as a full member state.

Haddad de Saabi was appointed to the Chamber of Peers as a Lady of the Realm by Queen Melisende III in 2017. She was elected to the chamber following the 2018 Peers election as a life peer.
